1.1. The student leader applies knowledge of proper tone, formatting, and the appropriate use of business or friendly letters. I followed this leadership standard by writing letters to teachers to show our appreciation for them. I used proper writing techniques and formal wording to write these letters. 3.2 The Student Leader plans and executes accurate pacing, and timing. I followed this leader ship standard bye my class, putting on a talent show. This talent show helped us with our public speaking skills and how to address a crowd and help them understand you. We also demonstrated others unique talents and skills. 1.10 The Student Leader creates eye- catching, effective posters and flyers. I follow this leadership standard by making posters for games, events, and just to have around the school. It shows a creative side to us and get better drawing skills. We made this poster for our schools breast cancer awareness game. We show or support for those who are or have gone through breast cancer by making this posted and wear pink items.
Personal and Social Development 1.3. The student leaders assumes a leadership roles in an activity or group work that allows them to facilitate and direct the group’s activities. How I followed this leadership standard is by helping and leading homecoming. We did flowers parties, float building, and skit practices to prepare. Me and my fellow classmates planned out and took charge. 2.3 The student leader creates a plain of action for achieving goals. For this goal we did Hoopla. Since it was our first big event in a long time it took us a little bit longer to go and get it all set up without a rush but we managed to crest a plain with some goals to make it an amazing Hoopla. 1.9 The Student Leader considers diverse ideas, synthesizes viewpoints, and analyses claims and evidence on all sides of an issue when considering possible solutions For this student leader standard, I volunteered to speak at a student panel to important board members about school safety. I shared mine and my school view points on safety to improve it. I learned so many different valuable things other schools do to make their schools a safest place. It was great to finally have our voices heard about these issues.
Civic and Service Learning 1.1 The student leader develops partnerships with various students, school, parent, and community groups. I followed this leadership standard by going to a CADA event with my class. We learned how to help out our school and our our community. 1.3 The student leader recognizes the value of membership in and/or partnership with associations~groups of people organized for a joint purpose. For this leadership standard I helped with our school #Icanhelp rally. I practiced public speaking and setting up an event other than a spirit rally or a dog pound. 3.2 The Student Leader participates in a service activity or project to serve a specific need of others. For this standard I went to the anti bulling event and recognized this kids for their ani bulling poster. These kids got an award for standing up against bulling and they wanted us, Tracy High, to be there for them to show that they have our support. I stood and gave high fives and cheered them on. They were so happy to see us knowing that the older kids don’t support bulling and will always be there for them.
Government 2.2 The student leaders contributed to the creation of rules, regulations, agreements, and contracts for student-led activates. I follow 2.2 by every Thursday the whole leadership class meets and we have a ASB meeting. We discuss the things we need to do and go over and create events for the year. 2.2 The student leaders acknowledges the relationship of power and authority between the student body organization, school staff, school district governing board, and state legislature. We follow this standard by showing our appreciation for our staff and the adult who help guide us to help lead our school. 4.4 The Student Leader utilizes inclusive meeting strategies for brainstorming, prioritizing, and project planning We followed this standard by planing our homecoming theme and including everyone and listening to alls ideas. We would have meetings almost daily about some fun ways to bring our theme to life by hearing everyone’s ideas and putting them all into consideration. In the end, our ideas came to life and we were all very pleased with this years homecoming.
Business and Finance 1.3 The student leaders tracks income and expenses and identifies profits and loss For this standard me and my classmates talk about our finances.For our dance we had to learn how to budget and what was financially good investment. 1.4 The student leader follows the student body accounting procedures when performing bookkeeping tasks, making purchases, receiving and distributing funds and reimbursing vendors. For this standard we had to buy snacks and sell tickets to the students. We had to go to the bookkeeper and get out stuff approved. 1.2 The Student Leader evaluates pas budgetary practices and collaborates on creating a work budget for the current form. For this student standard I communicate with my class treasure about past budgets and how we can currently budget better. We have had conversations before homecoming about what is the budget and what are ways we can save money. We saved money buy asking for some donations from our class and by being creative and using this we already have.
Technology and Digital Citizenship 2.1 The student leader cultivates and manages their digital identity and reputation, and demonstrates awareness of permanence of their actions in the digital world. I follow this by reposting our Tracy High instagram and making sure I have a good online and in person image. 3.1 The Student Leader recognizes the positive role of audio/visual technology in the creation of school events I following this by promoting our own events on my instagram and helping our technology people with anything they need help with. We always try to support our social media commissioners by reposting their posts because they worked really hard on them and we want the most people to come to our events. So, I make sure to repost my stories so other people can see and want to come support.
